Mr. Kizito Wamala is the lead clinical psychologist and psychotherapist trainer at SEEK-GSP, where he played a central role in the development and evaluation of Group Support Psychotherapy (GSP). He also serves as the clinician and mental health coordinator for the Center for Victims of Torture (CVT).
He holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, a Bachelor of Philosophy (Magna Cum Laude), and a Diploma in Philosophical, Religious, and Social Studies (Upper Second Class). He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Makerere University, focusing on advancing evidence-based, culturally adapted psychotherapies.
Dedicated to providing culturally appropriate first-line psychological treatment to conflict and post-conflict communities, Mr. Wamala has pioneered innovative approaches that respond to the unique needs of survivors of trauma. His commitment to tailoring therapy for diverse populations has made him a respected figure in his field, working tirelessly to heal psychological wounds and promote mental well-being in vulnerable settings.
