Group Support Psychotherapy
In August 2022, Mr. Jules Ngeh, a Cameroonian, introduced Group Support
Psychotherapy to Taraba state, Nigeria. He work with the local community members in
Taraba state to engage various stakeholders in the health and education sectors. He
empowered community members to initiate the Support Psychotherapy Network
Nigeria- a fully registered Non-Governmental Organization to implement the SEEKGSP
program in Nigeria. Their head offices are located in Jalingo, Taraba State.
In November 23-27,2022, the first Group Support Psychotherapy workshop was held in
Taraba State, Nigeria. A total of 33 health workers from various Government institutions
were trained on how to create mental health awareness, screen for depression and offer
treatment with group support psychotherapy sessions
